3 Days Samburu and Ol pejeta

Day 01 :

Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve

Your driver-guide from the company will meet you at the airport or your hotel in the city and take you on a picturesque drive to Samburu National Reserve, located in the northern region. During the journey, you will traverse the lush highlands of Kenya, renowned for its vibrant tea and coffee agricultural industry.

You will make a stop at the equator line for a demonstration of the northern and southern hemispheres, as well as to use the restrooms before resuming your trip to Samburu. You will arrive in time for lunch. In the afternoon, you'll embark on your first game drive. This will provide you with a chance to experience the incredible wildlife conservation area, celebrated for its diverse range of rare animal species, including the Gravy zebras, Somali ostriches, Reticulated giraffes, gerenuks, and the striking oryx. Additionally, you will gain insights into the cultural heritage of the Samburu people, known as the butterfly people. Ultimately, you'll return to the camp as the sun sets.

Day 02 :

Samburu – Ol pejeta Conservancy

In the early morning, you will set off for a game drive. Following that, you’ll head back to the lodge for a relaxing breakfast. Once you’ve finished eating, you’ll pack your belongings and drive south of Samburu to arrive at the Fairmont Safari Club for a late lunch. After your meal, you'll have some time to explore the hotel, which features an orphanage and offers a lovely view of Mount Kenya.

Later in the afternoon, you’ll stroll over to the nearby animal orphanage, where they provide care for orphaned, injured, and distressed animals, working to rehabilitate them for eventual reintroduction to the wild when they are healthy again. You will spend an hour visiting, before going back to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 03 :

Ol Pejeta Conservancy – Nairobi

After savoring a relaxing breakfast, you will take a brief drive to arrive at Ol Pejeta in time for your game drive. The initial portion of the game drive will include a visit to the chimpanzee sanctuary. After that, you will venture into the park, which hosts a significant population of both black and white rhinos, alongside giraffes, gazelles, elephants, lions, cheetahs, and various other wildlife.

Ol Pejeta is the largest sanctuary for black rhinos in East Africa and is home to two of the last remaining northern white rhinos in the world. Additionally, it is the only place in Kenya where you can see chimpanzees. The sanctuary was created to rehabilitate animals salvaged from the illegal wildlife trade. Once you exit the park, you will travel to Nairobi, making a lunch stop at the famous Trout Tree restaurant or a similar venue, and you will arrive back in Nairobi late in the evening. Following this, you will be taken to the airport or your chosen drop-off location, concluding your safari experience.
